Plugs ?

ok, (its a ka24de), all of my spark plugs have oil on them, so what does that mean? And the oil is on the spark side of the plugs not on the boots? So what do i have to replace and how to? Peace

could be a ring.... could also be a headgasket leak, or even a valve seal. The bad idle and poor performance leads me to think it's a shot ring, though.

No. that would not affect engine performance, unless the inner gasket is puking oil onto the plugs.

Can't be the valve cover gasket, he said the oil is on the spark side, not the boot side.

Headgasket or rings. Either way, bad news man.

If I were you, I'd take that valve cover off and see if you can tell anything from there. It amazes me that all four spark plugs are oiled. How much experience do you have working on cars? How erratic is the idle? Could you have overfilled with oil? Timing chain skipped a tooth, got a little valve crash? Would you be able to take off the cylinder head by yourself? It sounds to me like valve seals, but all four cylinders at once?... Only if you could have over-revved it. I don't know, it's beside me. I wish I could see the car. Is there any oil residue on the block?
