93 240 loses all power while driving

i was heading home tonight after eating dinner at a downtown restaurant and all of a sudden it feels like someone turned the ignition off and the car engine breaked to a stop.

i popped the hood and check for the 3 basics..spark fuel and air. i pulled the fuel line off of the filter and turned the key to prime and it was fine. i

i check the coil...cranked with the wire going to the distributor pulled off and arched to a bolt on the strut tower. it sparked fine. i checked the distributor and wires the same way. both good.

i unhooked the maf and tried starting....still didnt start.

its bizzare because one second it was fine and the next it was like someone just took the key out of the ignition.

it would sound like it wanted to start when i cranked it, a few putters and sputters but it wouldnt start.

it has a new cap and rotor, plugs, starter, good maf, good fuel pump.

the only thing i can think of is the ECU. im going to try to pull codes tomrrow after work.

any suggestions??? anything helps because this time im stumped. i can usually figure it out easily.

oh yea, all new injectors too.

and i do remember a while back i had a water temp sensor code, but that wouldnt cause this to happen, just irregular idle.

do you have a fuel pressure gauge? You relay might have gone... I had a relay go on me and I rewired it to get home with a single wire. If I hit it with my feet while driving the car would just straight up die.

i have no clue of what could cause this. the only thing i can think of is ECU. the motor is fine too, good compression and all that jazz. its got to be something electrical like a sensor or the ecu.

this morning though, i heard a terrible sound coming from the fuel pump. it made a loud buzzing sound after i pulled the key from the ignition. could the pump still pump a little bit of fuel and stll be bad? because it was pumping it out of the filter when i checked it

I've had this sound a couple times now that you mention that ^. But I'm still running the old stock fuel pump and I know I need to change it (running SR now). So maybe the fuel pump or maybe somthing is shorting?
