Odds are, you can't do too much, you bought an HP. Sorry to say, HPs REALLY suck... good servers, good enterprise equipment, HORRIBLE home user systems. HP is notorious for making snail speed systems that can't breathe... much like a stock airbox on your car, HPs are so crammed with poorly designed, oversized components and tiny "stylish" cases, they the ALWAYS test poorly. A quick search for your model yielded less than a page of results on google... not a good sign.

What are it's stats?

i'll get back to on the specs but what kind of computer would you reconmend?

I might just sell it and buy a new one?

$600 dollar pos? Hmm funny.... My computer cost me $600 (w/o monitor and sound blaster) and i'm pretty proud of it:

2.4gig PIV
1gig ram
GeForce4 Ti 4200
Intel D875PBZL MB (best one they make)

Once my dad decides to upgrade his, i'll sell him my 2.4 and get myself a 2.6 p4 so i could unleash that 800mhz bus speed finally

I built this a year and a half ago when prices where sky high, so I wasnt able to get what I wanted
