soft brake pedal

ok so yesterday i was driving my car and my brake pedal felt a little soft but was still working fine and today when i was go to the store my brakes went to the floor and when ever i pump it gets stiffer

the only thing i did with the brake system is check if my brake pads were still good

what can be the problem i never messed with brakes but changed them on a 240 if its the master cylinder how do u replace it

bleed your brakes first. its an easy process and could be your problem.
could also be your BMC, but bleed your brakes first to be certain
