Rear brake interchangability

Are there any other OEM rear calipers that are interchangeable with the S13? I plan on going to pick-a-part but They rarely have 240's.

S14, lol.

I don't think there are any that are interchangeable without swapping to something else.

300zx are, but you need the uprights, and ebrake cables... there are plenty of threads covering this swap.

I know about the 300zx. I was hoping that Maxima brakes or something would work. Just a stock replacement.

Even the S14's are not completely bolt up. They've got different ebrake cables and require that you get the caliper and cable, then somehow join the S13 and S14 cables together.

At least that's what I remember of doing that swap.

I was a bit frustrated by what seemed like the inflated costs of the stock rear caliper, they cost more than the fronts! I tried to find a cheaper solution as well, but it really seems like you going to have to pay $50 or $60 for a rebuild caliper.

I think I will just go Q45. I'll have to see what's at the junk yard.

Correction: you don't need the uprights. This is also mentioned in the threads (at least the ones I've seen) covering this swap .

I found the q45 gear at one location and the replacement s13 caliper at another. I'm getting the q45 rotors drilled and will post what I find out when that is done. I will also figure out what I am going to do for e-brake.
