Grounding question
Okay so I read up on grounding kits and ever found most of the answers I needed, but I always seem to mess something up really badly and would like some idiot proof advice.
I have my battery relocated to the back and I just purchased an NRG ground kit (I know you could make your own, but I got it for a good price). Anyway I have all the cables and it feels like a shame to waste the circular part that is supposed to connect to the negative terminal. This is a diagram I found. ![]() Is there any way I could use the circular part on my negative terminal without having to make super long wires? And do I even need to use the terminal? Could I just use the basic grounding point that exists where the battery used to be? Lastly, would connecting the wires to the main engine points then all to the firewall for a ground work without giving me ground loop problems? If not, should I just find different grounds for each connection? Thanks for all the help guys.

your post is a bit confusing. Grounding kits are used to balance the residual voltage from the engine to the frame (or I.E. your battery). As much as people would love to tell you, there isn't a %100 right way to put up a grounding it. Just make sure you aren't connecting a straight positive wire to the frame.
Since your battery is relocated into the trunk you can ground your engine to the frame and it will be safe. But as I said, just don't do something stupid like connect a ground wire to the positive 00 gauge wire on the starter. So instead of wiring everything back to the ground of your battery, just wire it to the closest part of the frame, fender, firewall, etc. as you can. |

There should be a post or 2 because I wrote them.
Those points are junk. Tranny, Head, Block, Intake Manifold, Alternator, Chassis, and coil pack ground are the best. I just did a relocation. The negatives can just tie all into one point in the chassis and the battery neg grounds to like the chassis and done...

^^^ Wtf you talking about... Ground is shit especially on the 89-93 S13's.... They are horrible. I with upgraded motors, the alternator is just barely strong enough to power the car.... There is amperage drops all the time...

The 2 main ground that need to be redo is from the Battery - to the chassis and the Engine to the chassis.
