I had skunk 2 lowering springs on stock shocks, on my S13 HB unless you put on some new race shocks or something to go along with it, in my opinion it sucks, i got rid of them within a month and have Stance Coil overs on now, so much better. If you can afford it go with coil overs, you wont regret it.

if you want low, you should go with coilovers. with springs you can pretty much keep low out of your head. they give nice stances, while improving cornering considerably over stock, and keeping a decent daily ride. but for over best results for cornering, and low, and customizable stances to your liking, and getting a pretty decent ride still, i'd save money and get some decent coilovers. if interested just search. there are plenty of review threads on the major and popular brands.
