Power Steering return hose?

I've been all over today (NAPA, Oreilly, Advance, Autozone) and cannot find anyone reasonably intelligent enough to understand what I'm saying here...

So, I've had to move my power steering reservoir for the intake pipe on my SR, and I replaced it with a mitsubishi unit (they're smaller, more compact)

Problem is I need new hose and no one seems to have anything but heater hose in large enough diameter. Is there something I'm missing? Something different I should be asking for?

If you are talking about the hose from the reservoir to the rack/pump thats not a pressure hose so just go to lowe's or Ace and buy some 5/8 inch hose for the large hose and 3/8 for the smaller hose. Or use -10 AN and -6 AN hose.

Will regular heater hose be ok with the ATF? I always thought it might not hold up to it.

I have gotten some red high pressure hose from NAPA and it works perfect

Not sure that you need high pressure on both lines but it wasnt that expensive so I just used it for both

oil cooler hose. you can find it on eBay (or summitracing or jegs or etc) if you can't find it @ a local parts store.

just get a ruler and measure the diameter of the mitsu unit.

don't use heater hose - most heater hose isn't made to take oils, so will start breaking down & become fragile -> crack, break, put weird rubber into ur ps supply, etc.

Napa sells a hose called Multi-purpose hose thats orange and comes in a lot of different sizes. It can be used for almost anything such as oil, water, pesticides and other shit, thats what id get.
