Got my B&M SS in the car. (it sux!) J/K (((((((ITS AWSOME!)))))))

Yeah so I got home and it was sitting there.. Lookin all perty like a...... Anyways.

So I jumped for joy... Ate my food as fast as I could... And went outside to drop it in, Got the car up on 2 stands, Got out my tools and ripped the old one out... Thing is I dont have plyers to take off the old know... So I just grabbed on and twisted with all my might. and it clicked once left. It took awhile like that to get it off.. What a b!tch it was...

So after that was off I just popped my old shifter out... And undid all 6 bolts... Way easy.. I was woried cuz somone sed they were hard... The knob was hard!

So all that crap was off.. Did a quick cleaning of hands (they were black as night) (I should check for leaks)

And went back outside, Dropped the B&M SS in place and bolted it back on to spec'x, Put it all back together, Dropped on the funky B&M knob (I dislike after one drive)

Put the car down on the ground and put all the tools away.

Total time for all told. (timed!) 1.hr not bad at all.

I'll give the install a 1.5 of 10 harness. If you can change oil... You can handel 6 bolts.

I'm not going to Review it for about a 30 days..

But I will say. You dont have to move but a little bit to shift. Much better! No noise of anykind so far. Dislike knob. No troubble shifting or finding gears.. they are still where I left em.. just a bit closer now.

My leather boot will be in near the 20th i think... Damn out of US shipping...

And I might put on my stock knob... I'll give the B&M a little longer.. see if it grows on me.

.. yeah ...

that is ... great .. un-huh

Here is my B&M SS review

I woke up at about 6:00am, took a **** on Red's car .. LMAO all the way to the ATM took out $220.
After going to a local shop to buy the B&M SS, I was sooo happy, I forgot to pay for the shifter, and so the total price for the shifter was free. Wooo wooooo !

Now it was time for the install, I went to grab the impact gun, turned on the air compressor, got a 12mm socket and an extension, plus a gear wrench for the two upper bolts.

After 20 min's, I had the stock shifter off, I felt proud of myself, half the job done, I deserve a treat, SUBWAY Sandmich ! yes ..

After eating a BMT on Itl' bread, I was ready to complete the install. I took the B&M SS out of the package, it looked sooooo preeeeeetaaay, I almost felt like buying another to mount on the dash, but was afraid if I went back to the shop, they would charge me for two The install of the B&M was the easy, it was the opposite of pulling the stock one out, I think I may have came up with an easier way to install the B&M shifter .. yo can thank me later, but here is a tip .... *strong hand* Now, time to install the bolts back to secure the B&M SS, I had 6 when I took them off, but now only have 5 .. Therefore , I thought one less bolt is not going to hurt .. right ? SO five (5) bolts are holding it

Now, the test drive ... Well, I can tell you the 5 bolts held fine, but I will wait 60 days before I can tell you what I really think, so stay tuned for my next installment.
thank you

I dont know if I have the new B&M or not. It has a slight funky humm noise from 2500rpm to 3000rpm... Nothing loud but in a quiet car easy to hear.

So far thats the only negative I have had.

Yeah, thats often mentioned on the sites (merchants). I think thats the only common downside if you consider it one

Dude KID ZElDA, that is wierd i have the same exact same problem the last bolt on top left is a bitch to turn. It took alot of my strength to turn it and it still isnt all the way in. I was thinking the same thing about the other 5 bolts is if it can hold in which i believe it should be ok. Maybe the model we got was a little mis aligned or something but o well. No problems so far but that shifter is amazing. Shifter is so short and precise also city driving is so much more fun. I give the B&M SS a two thumbs up!

Alright. I tossd the B&M knob...

It blows.... Unless you like it VERY cold in the morn... freez your hands off... or when i get off work... Burning HOT!.. yeah it burnt me. Not very smart to grab a metal knob thats been sitting in the sun all day.

The stocker is best for now.

IMHO, F*ck enjukie, I would never eva evaevaeva eva buy from them, I rather stay with the stock shifter then buy a B&M from them (enjuku)!

Da*n bro, that sure is a lot of money!!! I love my 240 and all, but I don't think that I could ever see myself paying that much for a short shifter!

Installed one on my S14 and it performs very good - shifting is sharp & precise, no funky play and it is very efficient. Feels very very solid. I love it

btw, im not just saying it because I coughed up the $$$ for it. I am only trying it out, and got it free

I meant I was stating a fairly unbiased opinion being that I didnt pay for it. I would do the same if I could splurge on the shifer

Did you happen to notice that the bolts coming out were 2 different sizes? You probably have a deep bolt in a shallow hole.
