KA24de Dizzy & Ecu question

Im coming to the end of finishing up my wire tuck on my S13. I had thoughts of switching to a S14 dizzy because it has an internal coil and that would be one less object and wire in the bay. Now if i was to do that im under the impression i would need to use an S14 ecu. Now i know the ecu is pinned differently from the S13 one so how would one go about running a S14 dizzy then on an S13 Ka24de?? Any help would be apreciated, i looked in plenty of place but i cant find any detailed write ups on how to do this, just people saying there thinking of doing it.

You do not need an S14 ECU...but you need to rewire your S13 harness to make the internal coil work.

You're getting rid of your S13 dizzy and external coil...and just replacing them with just the S14 dizzy. Rewire as needed - Do a search to find out how.

did the search and all i keep finding is people posting the same stuff you just told me about how one utilizes an external coil and another has an internal coil, which i already know, and then to do a search. I never found a write up on how to do an s14 dizzy into an s13, thats why i made this thread. You could be helpful and post a link or wiring diagram since you oviously have more knowledge about this then i. if not give me a walk through and ill build a how to thread when i find out if its successful or not.

FSM.

Go read both. The wiring is the same for both units, they're just on different plugs and longer on the S13 harness. You just rewire and match pin location to input/output as you would anything else, like another MAF. I've done an S14 distributor twice for customers and did the opposite on my own car, using S13 parts on an S14 chassis, but as orion stated I didn't take the time to write it all down either and post up a detailed how-to. I figure anyone who would want to do it would be able to decipher the schematics just as I did and do it without someone holding their hand.

At one time there were no writeups online. Even better, there was no internet. How do you think people were able to do anything?
