So who thinks I can fit 18x10 +44 and 18x9 +36 on my S13?

I'm deciding if I want to buy these Racing Hart 3-piece wheels off of someone that has a Supra. I've heard of some people running 10s in the rear so I'm not too worried about that, I can just buy a smaller tire. But I really am worried about the fronts with the 9 inch wheels. Largest I've heard someone going is 8 inch in front, I don't mind if they stick out a little if I have to but I don't want it 13" deep dish south of the border style. There really isn't a way to test fit them, I buy them...they are mine. Would wide fenders do it? I need input asap. I've posted on a few boards and got mixed opinions.

Why is the offset so high? Are you 5 lug?

The wheels came off of a Supra so the offset is like that. And I would be converting to the 5-lug.

Streched tires, camber and roll on your fenders is something you may have to do. But with those high offsets maybe not.

I think that will fit, in the back you will need to roll your fenders or run some neg camber and i THINK you'll be clear on the inside, but if not a small spacer could fix that.

The front I'm pretty sure you'll need a small spacer to clear the stock strut, and you will have to run pretty low profile tires, to avoid going up into the lower spring mount. Wont be able to run coilovers tho.

they say having wide tires like for a 9 to 10 incher makes a car slow. is that true? am not really a wheel/tire expert.. of course if you have an SR20 it might pull it.. can somebody explain..

I just picked up some masitaly wheels off this guy with a twin turbo mustang yesterday. they are 17X9 in the rear and 17X8 in the front. WHen i went to go pick them up, they had nitto drags on the back with 315/35/17's and no tires on the front wheels. When i first saw the tires, i was like no way they are going to fit. SO i bring them home and slap them on the back, They fit perfectly after i rolled my fenders. I'm not sure what the offsets are, but since i was runing mustang cobra wheels before, I knew they would fit (or hoping they would).

BTW:I do have an sr, but the car feels slower to me with the 315's on it. DOes this answer your question?
