sr20det Intake
I have a redtop with the restrictive rubber intake tube from my tubo. Does replacing it with an aluminum pipe make any noticeable difference. I would custom something or get one from project silvia.

smoother air flow is one major difference.
larger diameter helps a bit too EDIT: faster turbo spool search.

It may be a slight difference. Do you have a stock exhaust? It would be pointless to go with a bigger diameter piping on the intake if the exhaust side is still stock. Just my 2 cent.

This is not a thread jack...but to elaborate on the previous posts, for instance a full exhaust, front mount, and turning up the boost on a stock t25 to about 12lbs. Would what warauto said make a difference about the intake ?
