Steering problem s13

the car seems to loose grip going around a right hand curve (car goes left) about halfway and then when you correct it dips and comes back real quick to the right, scares the piss out of me. Doesn't happen on the left side.

First thought it was sway bar (Front), mount was broke, replaced, but it still does it. Only other thing is the rod connecting the lower c-arm to the frame, the bushing is slightly out of place, could this be my problem.

Any ideas would help.

Thanks

How long have you had those tires on your car?

the tires are brand new, was part of the deal when i bought the car.

it's the steering, it's really hard to explain, but it's very sudden and scares the crap out of me. Never done it in my other hatch or the coupe i owned previously. It feels like it's sliding, but it's not, like your sliding on ice, same feeling, and then it darts to the right.

thats the best i can describe whats happening

i aint no newbe either, i was away for like 6 months and cam back and could access my account, my nick was Black Apple, so please don't treat me like a newbe.

Sorry if that sounds like i'm attacking and thanks for your input

Not attacking you at all. I had an open-diff 240 before this one that I have now, and it would snap back out of a turn with my tires being worn. As soon as I got a new set of tires, it felt different. The right rear is the driving wheel. My husband's 240 sometimes acts funny as far as steering goes, but that's only when HICAS kicks in. You've got a '90, so no HICAS there. I'm really not sure what your issue could be... Change your diff fluid, maybe that might help the engagement be smoother. Or, it may be something steering-related, which I personally don't think it is.

Which end of the car does it feel like is losing grip? Are there any strange noises coming from the suspension?

Just going on what you've said so far, I'd guess one of your left-side shocks is blown.

I have an issue with my car snapping a bit, its from the tires and lack of camber in the left side. Something is bent back there and I can't fix it for the time being so I'll just deal with it.

thres no grinding, banging, poping or screeching of bald tires, just a weird feeeling, you can feel it in the steering wheel. It only happens when you're on a curve a real slight one, like those on highways and at low speeds its fine.

Steering just goes "numb" and then car kindof lifts and moves to the left like bad understeer; but no screeching or anything i've felt in my jetta which understeers huge, then it just grabs when you correct and goes hard to the right, like you jerked the steering wheeel real hard.

Went for a drive and tried to figure how to describe it better.
