quick trans question - Zilvia.net Forums | Nissan 240SX (Silvia) and Z (Fairlady) Car Forum

I searched but got too many results. I just need to know real quick if an automatic tranny from an 89 ka24de will fit up to my 91 ka24de (which is also automatic) with no modification. My tranny slips and I saw one on ebay that they say it might fit but they dont know. Thanks in advance.

if its a 89, it would be KA24E man, as for if the tranny would interchange with the dohc engine, that i dont know.

The 5spd is interchangable, dono about auto though. I assume it would phycially fit but I don't know about any wireing.

it is interchangeable but If you are going as far as pulling your old auto yourself you might as well do the 5 speed conversion. 89 5 speeds are cheap $50-150 max and if you have any wrecking yards around you could probably get the rest of the conversion parts for $200. There is a faq in the faq section about the whole conversion.
