anyone running a mild steel exhaust manifold?

just wondering if aynone is running a mild steel exhaust manifold and if you have had any troubles with it. i am debating mild steel vs another stainless manifold. i have re welded my stainless half a dozen times now and im getting sick of it. heard mild steel doesnt have near as much problems.

is your exhaust braced to the transmission down below?? my stainless cracked b'cos the brace was off(idkh) & the car bottomed out pushing up on the header. i rewelded it, braced it back to the tranny with a hommade super rigid brace and added a flex pipe. are u running NA or turbo?? top mount...bottom mount do tell....

bottom mount sr20. i do have flex pipe where the cat/test pipe goes, and i do have a brace going to the tranny mount off the DP. its just the manifold is 3 years old and its getting to the point where it should be changed. protech performance makes a sch 80 mild steel manifold for 600 $ i might pick up, or weld on a external gate flange to the stock manifold and run that..

i went with a topmount & custom brace so it wouldn't sag & crack like my old KA header did. but whatever you get, look into bracing that also, somehow
