i dont know about that stuff. Here at the shop we install many windshields and have used different products. My favorite for filling motor and tranny mounts is 3M Windo Weld. It is the best as far as adhesion to the rubber and stiffness. I think its about 10 bucks a tube (plenty for 2 engine mounts).

There are a few threads about motor mounts on FA where a guy used polyurethane on his motor and tranny mounts. It says it stiffens it up a lot but more vibration is felt in the cabin. Just do a search for "nismo motor mounts" and you'll find it.

thats the one, works like a charm -- be sure to clean your mounts before filling, and give them a week to cure.

have some spare mounts ready just incase you hate the stiffness. OR, do it to some very used ones, that way its not much of a loss if any. like i said, i like the setup.. takes about 1-2 months to "relax" but once it settles, its not too harsh at all, very stiff though.

I used the PL stuff on my tranny mount. Significant improvement in shifting. Much cleaner engagement now. But at the cost of ride quality. It's louder, and there are more rattles present now. I like the stiffness though. No, scratch that. I love the improvement. Gonna try it on the engine mounts soon. Be clear.

Which one what? I used the same one you showed in your link, PL brand. It worked wonders.

Rattles? Dude, I dont even have signals, wipers, or a facking fan in my car.. I am not even gonna begin to think about rattles.

Well the poly has been glued to my tranny mount for over a week now and I must say I like the difference it's made. Vibrations from engine and tranny are more pronounced now. The inside of the car vibrates, not rattles, under throttle. However there are rattles that weren't noticeable before the poly. Shifting is crisper too (the best part). I hesitate doing it to the engine mounts though. It might be too stiff. Maybe some Nismo mounts there.

i go the nismo tranney mount and used the 3m window weld and it turned out awsome, the combo of the stiffer one and the glue helped alot. i m gonna do my motormounts next

So you put window weld on the NISMO mount before you put it in? Is this NISMO mount wider than the stock one?

the nismo one is exactly like your stock one but harder rubber, so it has the gap undernieth it to get filled in

i think less cause my shifter doesn't have its 1/2 twist when i get on it like it used to, my shifter flopped alot, the old mount was still good butthe combo of thge glue and the nismo mount is awesome
