I don't see any good sizes for 17 inch wheels... widest it goes in 17 is 8.5

if you want this wheel it to fit good it looks like you need to go 18x9.5 or 18x10.5 with +15

Probably won't be happening any time soon considering they are sold out in the US. The EvoX crowd has a demand for large light wheels.

And the face is convex, how ghey. I realize they market it as a lightweight wheel for racing possibly but damn make the face concave or atleast a flat face with lip.How difficult would that have been.

Makes sense to me that if you had to choose between the two, most ppl would pick the wheel that is lighter. Unless there was a reason to offset that choice, like price difference.

To be honest, I've never liked the design of the RPF1 as well. It was always very boring and spartan to me. It's only real appeal was it lightweight and sizes. Now the PF01 has taken that away.

Just my opinion though.

most people buy wheels because they think they look nice, not because of the weight.

Why are you even fucking worried about it? You're not going five lug so you don't have the privilege of rocking RPF1's in dope sizes.

Have fun with 17x7 +45. Or bRotas. Which you've defended a few posts back.

I wouldn't say they are convex. They are just about like RPF1s.

There is more to sales than just based off of how much a wheel weighs.

all decently priced 17"-18" diameter / 9"-10.5" wide, wheels are fair game.

I get tested when I see more a more wheel companies leaving our market and designing wheels that are 19" and 20".

I was saying in regard to brake clearance and lipage. Neither is designed to be hella concave faced wheels. But when it comes to cheap, light, and tough track rims; I'll take either over CR Kai.

So, you get the fuck out of here. :ghey:

AMEs = overpriced Enkies. If these are lighter than RPF1s, then I expect them to be weaker as well. RPFs were soft already. Can't imagine how easy these would be to bend.

They've always been soft. My buddies who race. Stopped using RPFs because they kept bending the wheels out of shape at the track. They have switched over. To 5Zigens and Racing Harts for track duty. No more square rims. I mean, it is a cast wheel. Would it be stronger than say a Sportsmax or Rota of the same weight? Yyeah, but at 16lbs and a cast wheel it woont be amazingly strong.

Now, with that said, i'd rather have a wheel bend on me that crack and completely fail on me.

What? RPF1 have been tried and tested on sooo many cars its redundant to bring it up. No offense but your "buddies" need to mind the curbing's on track or not go off or whatever the case. BTW the only track worthy wheel you mentioned broadly is the 5zigen FN01R-F and ? and racing hart wheels are heavy for the most part.

sorry if im being a dick im drinking for my birthday and don't mean it.

I'm not saying anything bad about those.

Besides the fact that you can't get them brand new anymore.

Uh, this is in wheel to wheel racing. A. Dude dropped sponsorship from Enkei because the wheel couldn't take the heavy abuse. The FN was only a lbs heavier, but after a full season, no bends. And CP-Rs aren't heavy.
