Had a 06 Sti myself for a few years.
imo, it's got great power stock.
maybe it's the added torque from the 2.5l, idk.
Never felt the need to even add an exhaust. & kept it entirely stock.

Moving from that to a stock evo x, the evo's a bit sluggish stock.
It def needed more power prob to keep up with the extra weight.
Still, I enjoy my evo overall much more than my old sti.
evo's 4b11 appears to be much more responsive to power making mods than the sti engine (ej25?).

I'm not surprised. It's unusual to find any sort of concentration of Japanese Americans outside of the West Coast. I'm in DC, and I've found ONE place that sells Tengoku/Option. If you're in a small-to-midsize city on the East Coast or in the Midwest, I bet there wouldn't be a Japanese bookstore in the whole city.

I have subscriptions to G-Works and Nostalgic Hero through a friend in Chiba, because even most Japanese bookstores in the states don't sell those.

There are a few places I could buy them from in my city (There's a LARGE Chinese mall that has various car shops in it) but they want $25+ depending on which magazine they are selling. Plus it's a good 45 minute drive so unless I'm in the area, it's not worth it.

My friend buys them for me and ships them out snail mail every month. It's like a mini Christmas every month...

I'm lucky because of the large Asian population of my city. That being said, they do like to charge out of the ass for product.
