Put IPA on it let it soak for a little bit. Then just take a razor blade to it going in between the defroster lines. It is what I used on my whole car and worked perfectly.

The same messy residue is on my friend's Z32 hatch it looks horrible.
It really is nuisance to remove. The aircraft remover sounds promising though.

I used Windex w/amonia. A black garbage bag. Soaked the tint in the windex. PLaced the black bag onto it. Put it in the sun for and hour or so... Shit peels right off. Try it.

took mine to best tint.
But by watching it looked like steam helps alot and putting the water on that, spraying that on then putting plastic bag on it and letting it sit in the sunlight and letting it get hot so that way the steams off. hope it helps. |

bad picture. cant tell if its a layer of tint or just the glue. if it's just glue, then use windex, spray (alot) and let soak about 2 minutes. then use 0000 steel wool (home depot) and use that elbow grease. helps to have a small squeegee which helps the process. if not, you can use alot of towels.
it's gonna get messy and sticky. you can be an idiot like some on here and use razor blades but as you already know, you'll lose your defroster lines. i've already seen a good thread on here a while back on how to remove tint properly using a garbage bag and some heat from the sun so for the future, you guys should look that up. my shop charges anywhere from $40-60 to remove the tint off the rear window. depends on its condition. we can usually tell how its gonna come off by looking at it. have fun

I would save the time and go to best tint, I mean its only 40 dollars and your defroster will have a much better chance of working. And its must faster and cleaner.

Listen to me air craft remover and steel wool, i ised a steamer but if its hot ouside you will get the same results. Do not waste your time use a respirator and use what i told you NOTHING that says window tint remover works and you will lose your lines unless you use the aircraft remover.

If it was once sticky it will get it off. I use this at work all the time to scrape of permits that have been stuck on cars for years.
