In the process of getting my old coilovers off I destroyed the lil piece that goes through the bottom of the coilover in the rear.. So my question is, does this piece come out or do I need to replace the entire assembly?

i dont think it come out....you could try to retap or rethread it

Replace it, upright is dirt cheap

It can be pressed out with a press, but since you have to remove it anyway just replacing the upright is far easier.
