Fan hit wiring, engine not quite starting?!

Well i have really done it to myself this time and im here to hopefully see if anyone can lend me some advice. I had installed a koyo radiator in preparation for my rb25 swap that i am getting together within the next couple months. Well i had not put the shroud back on and secured the wiring harness that runs across the radiator support well enough. I paid the price and my fan ended up hiting it when i was flying through a turn and over a bump. The revs on the tach went crazy and the motor cut out.
The section of the harness that was hit connects to the ignition coil, igntion control module and MAF sensor as well as 2 vacuum lines becoming chopped. The car wouldnt start but cranked. (no injector pulse).
I replaced the computer as well as repaired the harness, soldering everybit of wire that had been brazed. I had also changed the distributer thinking it was the crank angle sensor. Now the engine fires for a split second but will not run.
I am thinking the ignition control module is at fault and was blown along with the computer, but i am clearly getting intial spark. Has anyone had a problem where the car has fired for a second but wont run? Any ideas in the right direction would help me greatly this is my only car I own right now.

It is a ka24e in an 1990 s13 by the way.

Whenever you cut that section and short it out, it kills your ecu.

Also check your main engine fuses.

Thanks i never realized the ecu would get killed when cut like that, i guess there isnt a fuse to protect it. i actually got another ECU and now it wants to start, for about a second it turns over and dies. Im going to try to jump my EFI and EFI pump relays to see if that will help.

Alright so i made some legendary giant steps with duballstar today and his personal expertise. We found that the fuel pump went from working and getting power before putting the new ecu in, to not getting power afterwords. Thus i had overlooked this problem and assumed all was fine with the fuel pump.
Furthermore, we located the egr relay and jumped it and were able to get power running back to the fuel pump once again. But when we figured the relay was bad, we took the EGR relay out of duballstars car (a known good relay) that had just been used in. It did not fix the problem which is very strange.
Well anyway the car fired up and ran extremely rough even while setting the distributer to every possible position. But it did run without stalling.
The temperature guage is showing no reading now, and i will go to pick up a new coolant temperature sensor tomorrow. I think theres a good chance it is a dud because the plug had been yanked out by the fan when all of this first occured.
Does anyone have any idea why a good relay would not fix the problem i am having that i descricbed above? And maybe a bad coolant sensor is to blame for no reading, and the rough state of the engine????

If you put in a known good working relay, than there is something wrong with the wiring (most likely the case since your fan hit wiring).

the car is running now after i regrounded one of the four relay wires. My ecu is throwing a code 13 for coolant temperature sensor and the temp gauge is still not working. I believe this is the last thing keeping my car from running properly. I got a new coolant temp sensor as well as switch to no avail. The only thing i can think of is that a short remains somewhere in the system and the wiring harness.

Bringing back up this topic to see if anyone can help me. well my ka24e had ran great until one day the wiring harness was cut by the clutch fan. Dont ask me how haha. But anyway this fried the ecu. I got a new ecu and am trying to get down the timing just right. Unfortunately now my motor is appearing to be burning oil and making this hissing noise after i shut it down. ( Scary loud) Anyone have any ideas.?

You dont take care of your car, do you? You made same mistake again. Do the same check up to see anything short, check all the fuses ect... You must beat your car like a death whore to make it burn oil in just a few months. tsk tsk tsk time for RB25 then.
