I think most standard Pembroke males are supposed to be between 23-27lbs, and our male is right on the edge of being 25 and 26 pounds, and he doesn't look any bigger than your's, nor does your's look any bigger than mine.

He's all muscle so he's heavy lol

And we try to keep him at 25lbs so when it's time for stuff like heart worm meds and flea meds we can use the cheaper one that's meant for dogs up to 25lbs, instead of getting the ones for the 26lbs to whatever one hahaha

All I hear about hamsters are that they get lost, and then you'll find their furry carcass when you move your furniture around and stuff.

hahahaha wow thats both sad, and funny....i'll be sure to tell her to keep it in sight if she takes it out....damn i wish we could just get a normal sized pet...but they are stupid expensive in Japan...plus the rules of housing are pretty strict

If you want, you can try and find some ferrets. They are fun to play around with, and as long as you have like a squeaky toy or something that they will respond to, even if you lose sight of them, you will be able to "call" them and they will come out of wherever they were to you.

And as long as you keep their cage clean (if it's just 1 ferret, or even just 2, it shouldn't be hard), they don't really smell bad at all. Bath them every 2 weeks or so and you'll be golden.

Speaking from personal experience, btw.

cool, cool....yea i heard they smell pretty bad, but i thought it was just their natural odor or something haha, idk...i'll relay that message to the wifey, cause she needs/wants a pet to keep her company b/c i deploy so damn much, just waiting to get back to the states or Germany or something to get a dog or something

Yeah ferrets are fun, and they're relatively odorless if you keep up with cleaning their cage and bathing them.

Look up some videos on youtube and you'll see some hilarious stuff they can do and what not. Their little "ferret war dance" and them dooking are adorable too.
