just picked up my first decent 240

got this yesterday for $1500!!! needs some body work, new non pep boys exhaust and some minor things.. but runs strong..

one question.. im new to the 240 so the guy had 17s which i like.. the offset sucks so what size spacers should i look to get.. alsoo he has 205/40 all the way around. i ordered some megan lowering springs.. i know not coilovers but its what i have to spend.. anyway what would be a good 17 in size tire to run for the front and back with a 2in drop... i cant stand the 4x4 look and tiny civic tires.. anyway any advice would be appreciated

ill give yah 1700 for it, a 30 pack of keystone and maybe an Ed Hardy /pep boys air freshener if you're lucky

oh and before i pick up the car.... theres stuff called engine bright foaming degreaser... use that sparingly... simple green works good too.

google wheel offset calculator... etc. etc. etc.

dont do a ghetto 2'' drop...

looks like a good deal for 1500....i think that tire combo should work....there is a wheel fitment thread, i would double check there though....

and theres always that forum jackass who THINKS he knows everything.....

as for your dirty bay, i would get in there and wipe it down with like a rag or something, just scrub it the best you can lol might take some time and patience....good luck with the new ride

take it to a detailing place and tell them to pressure wash the engine bay, and make sure they don't fill up your spark plugs with water. call it a day.

oh, and great buy, but don't be cheap and spend 300 on springs when you can save a couple more hundred and get coils. cmon .....dont' join the 240/civic crowd of modifying. If you can't afford it....buy them used.

looks like a great buy, theres some guides on what to cover up in your bay then you can just spray some degreaser and wash it off.or scrubbing for a good bit works to you. I agree with the other guys about at least saving up for some used coils, but I know what you mean with the way it looks now,I couldnt stand when my car was like that.Good luck to you man.

great find! and get at least some 20mm spacers, but you should invest in some coils and better wheels in the long run.

wd40 and a foam brush will do wonders..trust me on this. just wipe off the excess with a towel or rag. then spray simple green for that fresh smell.

You got a good deal. But don't buy springs now. Ride high and mighty till you can afford quality coils.
