rb25 ran fine, randomly quit starting.

well my friend traded a car a while back for this rb25 swapped hatch. the car has ran fine and great for a month and it started acting wierd when starting a few days ago. we've checked all the grounds and replaced relays, made sure the fuel pumps priming, changed plugs, made sure it has spark & fuel, and we jus't cant figure out whats wrong with it. i'd appreciate any help. we don't have a shop within like 4 hours of us that fucks with imports so any help's appreciated.

when you lengthened the MAF harness did you use shielded wire? The MAF harness can be very pick when it comes to EM interference.

Also could be the "rich/retard" feature on the crappy stock ECU

It is probably your flux capacitor; when that goes out the car will definitely act weird. Not strange though, only weird... We are gonna need a more specific description than "acting weird."

sorry didn't address the non start issue.

Yeah need more details but "acting weird" is actually almost enough info on the RB25.

Sometimes my RB would not start if the MAF was not connected, so check your wiring as mentioned above. Also A failed ecu was the cause to one of my non start issues.

well by acting wierd i meant the car would and wouldn't start. it just went back and forth. my friend changed the plugs and it fired right up the first time it happened but now it didn't make a difference. now it just cranks with no start. we unplugged the maf to see if it would start at all but didn't make a difference. and its definitely plugged in. and we read about people saying the ecu's going out but he wanted to make sure it wasn't anything else before he spent about 150 on an ecu.
