just curious, These two cars, are two of the fastest, (and most expensive) exotic cars that exist today.

McLaren... even though it's kinda gay and has one seat... it's more recongizable as an expensive car!  That's probably  a bad reason... but I'm droppin a milly on a car I better get some props!! The ol Nissan emblem just doesn't do that for you....

Now if it was Infiniti I'd think about it... hahahahaha...

no matter, just slap on a GTR emblem !!:biggrin: the mclaren is a 3 seater tho, I prefer the Mclaren myself, just has that ultimate supercar image..

by the way, does the mclaren have a sequential gearbox like the R390?

McLaren OWNZ JOO!!!! :biggrin: j/k but, I'm pretty sure the production F-1's were 3 seaters. and yea the kenwood CD is a bonus, but no AM/FM (nice sound system without a radio, haha).
Anyways, does anyone know about the gearbox?

Drift Freak,
&nbsp; &nbsp; Yes I am aware of this. =P &nbsp; I was referring to the illusion that Japanese car companies create to sell expensive cars to us white folk... get it?

Both 6 speed's
Both got the 320kph in the 20 second arena(Track, racing gas)
Number Produced; 50 R390's, 499 F1's.

Sorry I LOVE NISSAN'S

I'm gonna have to go for the Nissan on this one.

The MCLaren is a 3-seater, I believe. I know that the driver goes in the middle. I'd pay mad money to drive that car for a day... wanna see what's it like driving from the middle of the vehicle.

the engine an all-aluminum 6.1-liter, 48-valve, V-12 with developed 627 hp
&quot;The engine and its carbon-fiber airbox are worth a good look before disappearing into the engine bay. Dispite its huge capacite, the engine is only 23.6 in. long and weight 586 lb. with all ancillaries. Magnesium castings are used for the dry sump, the cam carriers and covers, the oil pump and the housing for the variable intakes camshaft timing control. Intake control is by 12 individual butterfly valves, and the exhaust piping is a real work of art. It delivers the exhaust gases into four highly heat-resistant inconel catalysts, each with its own lambda-sond control, befor they reach the huge and very effective muffler. The entire exaust system doubles as a crushable structure in case of rear impact.&quot;

qalso when you buy a mclaren F1 it comes with a HUGE tool kit. but i mean a FULL tool kit. you could probably open a shop and use all those tools. but stuff like changing oil on a mclaren is the worst thing ever! its not a do it your self job the whole bottom plate has to be disassembeled and shit like that. but hey you can afford a mclaren F1 im sure you can affor 1000$ oil changes <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':)'>

the McLaren engine bay lining is entirely made of gold! &nbsp;ha, thats probably where most of the money goes.

i dont know though, i like both the R390 and the F1. &nbsp;however, for some reason, i like small displacement engines. &nbsp;the nissan has a &nbsp;3.5 V8 compared to the 6.1 V12 and it still has the potential to go as fast as the mclaren. &nbsp; just IMO.

i've heard it also comes with 2 56k modems for mclaren's personal navigation system (wish i still had the magazine). it says a regular tuneup costs $17,500. and it comes with a titanium tool kit. so what famous people own F1. does ralph lauren own two, and one of the guys in prodigy owns one.

$1,000,000 in a $5000 car? haha. &nbsp; &nbsp; ya i'd rather buy a house with that money, rather that drive around an over done car that would probably get destroyed in an accident. with a house you could sell it in 10 years and make money off of it.

i would rather get a house than gettin a millin dolla house. &nbsp;id only get one if my name was billy gates, or mr. chumpchainge. &nbsp;even though that can legally be done, i tink i still wont buy those cars. &nbsp; But if i did have to choose between the two, i'd go for McLaren...just for the name, cuz face it... most people who do buy these cars don't even drive them for their built reasons. &nbsp;it jus sits and looks purty at fancy places. &nbsp;destroying one when doing something that you thought you can do easily with that type of car would obviously make ya look like a complete moron. &nbsp;

Hey F1 driving position must confused the owner of No fuck geez can't quite remember, but to say he crashed it, I think 'gutted' would not be the word.

I've heaps of Pitures of the R390, just none on the web,
And this is what I know of the 96' prototype;

VGH35DETT, 3.5 V8 Twin Turbo.
550hp - 570hp @ 6600 rpm
62kgs\m @ 3700 rpm

thats off a website,
but GT2 &nbsp;Got it @
VGH35DETT
390hp
55kg\m
1000ks weight
Tuned up......
833hp
103kg\m
920kgs weight.

goodo, nah still like the R390's engine bay, talk about plumming.

Is if just me or the F1's interior ugly as ####. &nbsp;It looks like a split bench seat with a baby's booster seat crammed in the middle. &nbsp;I like the nissan.

Ignorance again. &nbsp;The McLaren F1 is a true exotic super-car that is street-legal and has been made with the highest quality components around.

The entire exhaust system, from the manifold to the output muffler is fully titanium. &nbsp;The entire body is made of carbon fiber and people have survived crashes at over 140mph in the McLaren. &nbsp;In terms of layout, everything from the location of the engine, bumpers, and drivers seat were all laid out for performance.

Naaaaaah.. fuck that, who wants a McLaren F1! &nbsp;I'm going to ditch that car and spend a million PLUS on a cheapass street-car made of steel. &nbsp;Some of you insane.. you cant turn a hoe into a housewife.
