Car won't start.
I've got a 89 240sx coupe with a single cam and it is a auto to 5 speed swap. When i turn my key to on the gauge cluster lights don't come on and the fuel pump doesn't prime. When I try and start it nothing happens. My lights come on when I turn them on. I took a volt meter to my starter, battery, and everything in between and it all comes out to 12V. I had the car started yesterday and I'm not sure what I did.

Heres the full story to kinda help you out. My car was running good started all the time. Then my battery died and I couldn't jump start it. I took the battery to autozone to check it and it was ok, they said something must hve been draining my battery. So I realized even with my car off my cd deck was always on so I disconnected that. I then went back to autozone to get new battery cables and terminals just because mine looked kinda old. I installed them and then when I went to start my car it wouldnt start. I later realized that the black/yellow igniton wire to the starter was just hanging by wire and when I replaced my cables I must of knoked it off. So I connected it correctly and my car started but it was idling at like 200 and wanted to die. Next day I went to start it and same thing happened again, No fuel pump prime, starter wouldnt activate and no dash lights. I looked at the black/yellow wire and it was snug. and all battery wires were on good. the red box looking thing that connects to the battery and goes to the fuse box was a little loose so i tightened it and still nothing.

got it running. Still runs like shit but I think its because of my gas tank leak and charcoal canister being hooked up wrong. But anyways I guess the connection to the fuse boz was a little loose because when I wiggled it I heard my fuel pump prime.
