Help: Fuel Pump works, but no prime, and still recieving power?
Went on a random cruise through GMR on the 31'st, to get a good feel for the coupe. When I was heading back for my birthday dinner, I lost fuel pressure and I pulled over upon exiting the back entrance to GMR road. Waited for AAA for 2 hours, an manged to get a tow home.
I checked the fuses, replaced the fuel filter, fuel pump, EGI fuel pump relay, and confirmed the ecu was working from the red led light. She wont fire over! I checked the fuel lines for fuel and pressure, nothing! I went as far to check the chassis harness connecting to fuel pump assembly, and it came out positive for power, the wires connecting to the fuel pump from the fuel pump assembly are dead cold. I even went as far to manually test the fuel pump, which works! For some odd reason I cant hear the fuel pump prime? I'm all out of ideas. I need some help, any one? |

sounds like ECU issues,
had a similar problem way back in 2008 took me 2 months to fix. (sr20) and just recently had that exact problem with the gtr, tested the ECU with a known good one.. fixed the next day. nissan ECU's have internal voltage regulators for the pump. they also have a pump prime function. when they start failing they can cause all types of weird fuel problems. SI NY rep.!
