There is your problem. The car needs the MAF sensor to operate. Its almost like doing a lung transplant and taking out your diaphram so you can't breathe. Put your old intake back on.

dunno what intake you have, but that sensor you took off tells the motor how much air was drawn in, if the intake does not have a place to use that sensor, time to go back to stock

Take some pictures if you can so that we can see what plugs you are talking about, because I would've said MAF also. It's kinda funny I put an intake on my car and the idle fixed, becuase it used to idle rough and now its all good!

I think I know what it is. It's the IAT sensor(Intake air temperature) i put a resistor in mine so it tells my ecu i'm constantly getting 57 degree air. Get this resistor from Radio Shack or wherever they sell resistors and install it on the sensor, then cover it up with e-tape.

4.7k ohm, 1/2 watt resistor. This is documented to work on a Camaro but in theory they are both 5 volt sensors so it should create the same reading on all 5 volt sensors. Good luck.

That's exactly what he is talking about...Some of the CAIs come with a bung past the MAFS to plug the Intake Air Temperature (IAT) sensor in, eliminating the need for that procedure.

Remember what westboroughpimp said and use this as a guide for the resistance...

Sorry for the size, but the plan works....
