sr20 wiring/ground/fp problem

hello everyone!
im having problems starting my s13 sr.
i bought a brand new harness, wired it up directly to the chassis clips, because i didnt have the Ka harness,
and the fuel pump will not prime.
---
The fuel pump primes ONLY when i *ground the wires by the battery*(black and pink), **but the fuel pump stays on**.

any ideas what it could be?
perhaps bad wiring job
or bad grounds?
any advice is greatly appreciated. thanks!

The ecu is supposed to ground the black and pink wire for the fuel pump relay.
It is to be connected to pin 104 on the ecu.

do you think this problem is happening because the ECU is not grounded?

*UPDATE*
I managed to get all the clips from a KA harness, and clipped everything in, rewired everything. (sr20 engine harness to chassis harness)
But it still has the same problem...(fuel pump wont prime, unless i ground the black/pink wires, but it stays on)
Bad ECU maybe?

Are you sure you have a harness setup for the S13 blacktop ECU?

Did you actually rewire the plugs by the battery tray?

You cant just wire the colors that match together you have to move them around to other pins.

thanks for all the help guys, but it was the ecu.
the ecu was bad.
something about the fuel pump power was wrong in the ecu.
because my friend uses that ecu on his ae86 but he has everything wired directly.

i bought a new ecu, and now my car drives like a beast.
