240sx no fuel beyond fuel pressure regulator

Hi, I'm having trouble with my 89 ka24e there is no fuel going to the fuel rail. I have replaced the fuel pump, fuel filter, fuel line hoses, and tried 3 different fuel pressure regulators and nothing. I took off the regulator from the fuel rail to see if gas was passing but it is not, although there is gas coming in, basically it gets stuck there. What could it be? not enough pressure? I need it soon getting frustrated just having it there sitting.

The regulator should be on the return side of the fuel rail.

Assuming that fuel is entering the rail (which you say it is), and is not leaving the rail, then I'd have to assume that it is flowing out of the injectors (or leaking out from the topfeed orings).

Get a fuel pressure tester first. Check the lines. If you replaced the entire fuel lines, and the pump is operating because its new... then you should be getting fuel to the rail.

Your details seem a little strange. You said no fuel going *to* the fuel rail? That would indicate the problem is prior to the regulator which is going to be located on the return side.

If you mean no fuel is coming OUT of the regulator, then it sounds like your regulator is stuck closed which would lead to abnormally high fuel pressure. Is your vacuum hooked up properly?

thanks, I just found out the hoses were hooked up wrong.

Now the problem is that the engine won't start, just cranks, only starts with starting fluid. I've checked to see if there is electricity going to the fuel injectors and there is, as well as fuel, and fuses all work.
