You Sir are a Gentleman and a scholar!

I shall PM you the address of a Place in Burbank where you can find alot of the Cali Brews on tap! Its a little bit of a Hipster Organic/Vegan Dive bar but they serve great beer. they only serve beers from cali and All employees must wear distressted Deep V-Neck Tees at all times.

You have Good Taste in Beer my friend. If your going to ZOMG i will be rolling with the likes of Baby Jesus and the rest of the 951 Zilvians

I recently had Maredsous 10 from a recent haul from my favorite Liqour store in Riverside: La Bodega

La Bodega Wine & Spirit - Riverside, CA
(dont mind the Delirium glass, it was the only proper glass i had at the moment)

Ha! You want to know something even more ironic? I just graduated from UCR over summer with my bachelors, and I used to go to La Bodega all the time. Good stuff there. I was surprised to find they even had some sours from Russian River there.

I have never been to any beer festivals yet but I really want to check some out. Something always comes up at the last minute and I can never go.

I have a couple drinking spots in Riverside, Super Mex off of the 91 freeway and Arlington has $1.75 beers and half off appitizers. And i frequent Kilarney's irish pub thats across the street from La Bodega

So if your local to riverside are you going to ZOMG?

Haha that's crazy. I graduated with business marketing. I actually live in Orange County, and haven't been to Riverside since I graduated pretty much. I was planning on going to a Drive @ UCR meet one of these days since I have some friends that are a year younger than me. What do you drive?

Never heard of ZOMG but I'm guessing it's an IE BBQ based on the Google results haha. I wasn't planning on going but maybe if I'm not doing anything I will roll through.

Yeah that sounds pretty fun. Wondering if I ever saw you cruising around UCR... Lol. I drive the Accord in my sig. It's alright. Pretty much the biggest pain in the ass to get around in since there's only like an inch of suspension travel left up front haha.

Anyway, to keep this beer related:

That's what I'm hitting up after work today.

Tried a couple of new beers this past weekend.
Shiner Ruby Redbird, red grapefruit & ginger beer. NAF.

Shiner 102 Double Wheat, ok but not great.

Black Flag Imperial Stout. 11%, was very good.

sam adams has these new 4 packs out, Wee heavy, double bock, imperial white and imperial stout.

Double bock 9.5% abv
awesomely smooth, some what of a chocolately undertone and just really good.

Wee Heavy 10% abv
Its ok, havent had a whole one yet but apparently it gets better as you drink it

Imperial White 10.5%
Very similar to blue moon and really smooth and easy to drink. Definitely doesnt taste like a 10.5% beer.

and i didnt pick up the imperial stout but i plan to. i think its 9% or 9.5%

This has been my summer beer this year:

It's not highbrow, but it's great with raw oysters.

Lately, I've found myself drinking Blue Moon mostly, or Sammuel Adams Sumer Ale if not available. Other than that, I'm a usual fan of Heinekin, Shiner Bock, and Dos Equis, but I feel a whole world of beer thats out there yearning for exploration. I've gotta get myself a black book for beer! lol

Other great beers to have had of late:

Nebraska -Apricot Au Poivre Saison
Fucking wonderful. Everything Nebraska does rocks, bottom line

Cigar City -Guava Grove
Taste Explosion. I'd rather have Sea bass

Terrapin - Hopsecutioner
100% better on tap than bottle. Ton of differnent hop flavor, all work well

Ithica - Flower Power
Odd to see it on draft, but it was excellent. I love this beer.

Recent Tastings From Sat-Today:

Brooklyn - Concoction (Spiced beer) B
I don't mind spiced beers, so I was interested to try this one. Lemon Zest is all that came to mind, with a hint of honey. It wasn't bad, but nothing I could have more than one of at a sitting.

Avery - 18th Anniversary (Saison) B
I figured a Saison sounds good..but the ABV was around 8.5 so I wasn't so sure then. Typical Avery beer here, as in, overdone. To much spice IMO. Boozy as well. Maybe in a year or so it may be better. Still have decent, but it was like drinking a boozy summer ale.

Dark Horse - Hoppus Maximus (Amber Ale) B-
I'm not an Amber fan, but needed to try it see if it would sway my opinion. It didn't. Maybe for a Sessionable beer, but I don't get the point of drinking a ton of what I like 'for fun' unless it involves getting drunk.

Weyerbacher - Imperial Pumpkin 2011 A-
Admittantly ti's way to early for Pumpkin, but this years batch from Weyerbacher is excellent excellent excellent. Nice use of spice, good pumpkin flavor. I hate pumpkin puree, and I hate nutmeg bombs, and this is a nice mix of the two. Excellent beer here!

And my favorite of the week:

(Brouwerij Bosteels )Tripel Karmeliet - A
I've had this in bottle and wasn't a fan...very spiced and dry in bottle...however on tap it's an entire different, better animal. Very delcious, almost a perfect Tripel IMO. Would love to have again.

Tried some new beers recently.
Left Hand brewing Stranger Pale ale, was very very good I really enjoyed it.

Indian Wells Death Valley Pale ale, was also very good but I think I liked the Stranger pale ale a little bit more.

Indian Well's Orange Blossom Amber
It was fair, I didn't love it though. Probably wouldn't buy it again.

Indian Well's Raspberry Ale
Eh, kind of fake tasting. I've had much better Raspberry Beers, not undrinkable but not great.

Uinta Punk'n ale
Probably the best pumpkin beer I have tried, it was smooth with only a slightly sweet pumpkin flavor. Didn't taste like I was drinking squash like a lot of pumpkin beers.
