I tried to post this earlier, but the #### net was down.

So yesterday, I headed down to Payson, AZ, to check out the Motorcycle junkyard.  I took my friend Nych, who's a great guy and all, but CAN'T STAND SPEED or other common manuevers known to racing fans.  On the way to Sedona, I'm downshifting and passing on this curvy canyon road, and he about shits a brick.  So anyway, we end up getting to the junkyard without him being too pissed at me.

On the way back on the 17, I'm heading up to Flag, and there's this white 93ish Ford Ranger with 16 or 17 inch rims.  (GOD DAMMIT MY HAMSTER JUST BIT MY TOE!  NOW I'M FRICKIN BLEEDING!)
Anyway, I've seen this guy around town.  He's got the lowering kit on his Ranger, clear taillight lenses, billet grill, etc. etc.  The truck actually looks semi-decent as far as mini trucks go.  So with all that work on the "show" part, I'd figure it has some "go".

So it's going pretty fast up to Flagstaff.  I think to myself "screw Nych and his wiener like attitude when it comes to racing" and floor it.  I passed him like he was standing still, going uphill.  And after I'd left him in the dust by doing 105 or whatever the top speed is, basically pegging the needle and holding the gas anyway, I'd watch him in the rear view, see him coming up fast, floor it back up to pegging the needle and watch him get smaller.  Then I'd let him pass me, and blow by him again.  I must have buried the needle at least 8 or 9 times yesterday.

And this Ford Ranger, which is lower (better wind resistance), had a tonneau cover (hard) on his bed, giving much better wind resistance, can't beat my truck with me and Nych, an open bed with the tailgate up, much less with studded snow tires.

I have wanted to toast that guy for the longest time.  Always though he had a bigger 6 in it.  Guess not.  Heee hee hee heee.  I might go say hi to the guy.  I think he still lives on campus, but I'm going to have to find out if he's invested any money into "go".

haha this is too funny.  There is a guy in my town with a white ranger with the exact same stuff.  He has some cobraR knockoffs and billet grill.  Well I was in my 5600lb 4x4 and came rolling up along side of him and said what the heck and revved the motor.  The guy downshifts and his truck jerks and he starts pulling VERY slowly.  So I drop to second gear and go roaring by him so I let of and just get on and off the gas making revving sounds and I'm still pulling away while doing it.  I haven't laughed that hard in a long time.  Oh yeah I have a 300hp V-8 too.  :-)

I think there is an personality test required to buy most fords.
Most people are aware that the stereotype for a mustang driver is true at least half of the time.  Most people who drive Ford Probes will try to race me if I pass them.  And I see way too many crapy escorts with chrome rims and huge unpainted spoilers.

Dunno, just my $0.02.

Yeah, that's on Grand Falls road at about 70 mph. &nbsp;Usually it's a better jump. &nbsp;I wish my roomie would have taken it a hair earlier, so as to get it with all 4 off the ground.

I wish I had some pics of me jumping the sand dunes to post. &nbsp; There is a trail by the powerlines in my town that has these huge sand dunes on it. &nbsp;I was running 70 and caught about 6 ft of air. &nbsp; It was fun but by the end of the night my exhaust was laying in the bushes somewhere and I bent a shock. &nbsp; It's all good though I wanted a louder exhaust and running just headers did the trick. &nbsp;<img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':)'>

ya. ripping on ford is like ripping on nissan. most of their cars really aren't desirable. but then you got the 66 mustang the 429 boss, lightning (friend has a newer one), taurus sho...ok scratch that one. and the new cobras are running 13.8's stock now. 87-93 mustangs are cheap and have a great aftermarket.

Actually, one of my favorite engines of all time is the Ford 300 cubic inch six-cylinder. &nbsp;Like a gasoline diesel. &nbsp; And if that Ford would have had the 6 with intake and exhaust, it would have toasted me. &nbsp; They're pretty quick. &nbsp; But mine will be quicker. &nbsp;Eventually.
