Stripped threads on oil-feed into block? (Help advise)
So the threads on my Oil feed line going into the block pulled out...of the block, while installing my oil line last night. FML.
I have a braided SS line, that has a -3AN fitting on it. Can I just tap the block out to 1/4" NPT and then run an adaptor to my -3AN line? Or will that fuck up the oil pressure to the turbo, not having a banjo bolt/fitting in there? Pics and experience would be awesome!

yes you can tap the block to whatever fitting you can use.
but you will need a restrictor IIRC .60 for journal bearing and .30 for ball bearing turbo. they have restrictors that screw into the turbo, and will allow you to connect the -3AN line to.

Searched. Found what I needed. I can just use the -3AN straight, because its -3AN, if I had -4AN i would need a restrictor.
Thanks guys. Good write-up for others after me: http://forums.nicoclub.com/diy-strip...t-t443899.html

The restrictor you would need for the turbo (BB or JB) regardless of line or fitting , for the line you would need a reducer, that's if you used a 4-an fitting to your current 3-an line.
So, if you are using a bb turbo you would still need the restrictor, with 3-an fitting and 3-an line.
