I have a bad engine harness on my 96 s14 5speed. Im planning to buy one but its auto. Does it matter? sorry just got into cars recently..

Makes no difference whether its auto or not, but you need to make sure you have a ob2 harness.

i beleive that the 95 below are obd1 and 96 above are obd2. correct me if im wrong.

you are correct! 96 and up are OBD2.

when i swap harness does it change my settings? such as idle,etc?
