Bought a zenki from a guy here in zilvia . He didnt have the title , he gave me a bill of sale and the registration, the problem is that the car has bever been register on california i went to the dmv and they said thet cant do
Nothing about it , i contacted the dmv from colorado and they cant send me the title cause still under his name.. Now the guy wont answer my calls or txts .. How can i
Register this car ?

I didnt think it was gonna be a big deal cause i bought cars without title before .. But this is the frst car that i bought with out of state plates

hold on to everything he signed and check the glove box for anything else.

that wont work:
few options here:

1) call an insurance company that will give you a bond
2) sell the car as a "parts only"
3) part the car out and make more money than what you bought it for
4) track car
5) contact dude you bought it from and be like wtf

bill of sale is not the only thing you need to register a car playboy, technically he still owns the car, make copy's of bill of sale and file them away so you are covered if he decides to be a dick.

title recovery form will only apply for the owner that is on the title? so the previous owner needs to apply for the title and hand it off to the new guy(should have been done before any funds were exchaged).

thats how my brother did it. he bought a coupe, guy lost title, had bill of sale, filled out title recovery.

i had a similar problem before, took almost a year to get it all worked out, you are probably going to need the other guy and he is going to have to apply for a new title which takes forever, then he is going to have to sign it over to you. its going to take forever especially if your states title department is incompetent

fill out the tittle recovery, he will get mail from the dvm he has 30-60days to claim the car if he doesn't the tittle will be defaulted to whoever has the license plate. we got a few nice old caddy shells doing this. if hes trying to fuck you take all the info and file aginst him and bring a witness to support you even if you dont have one lol

if you can get a hold of him, you can go to the DMV and have him be there to verify everything

friend of mine had to do this, DMV wouldn't give him the title and he called the guy up and they both went to DMV to show car wasn't stolen or anything

look into filing a lien sale against the car.
mechanics/auto shops have to do it from time to time if the owner abandons the car or doesn't pay the bill.
