I ofcourse know of Initial D and Wangan Midnight, I finished up Capeta a while ago and was left pretty much watering for more.

Anything else out there?

Also, how's Gunlsinger Girl? I saw a clip, looked interesting. I need to download some of this stuff you guys are talking about, but damn there's so many of them!

Bleach is pretty much the only anime I'm watching right now. I was watching Death Note for a while but it got really fucking old once I hit mid-20 something episodes.

Dude... Keep watching. It slows down a bit after the L arc, but then get crazy again.

But I must say, I didn't like the ending.

i think it would be awesome if they did a F1 themed anime,. it could have alot of typical anime suspense build ups with the overtaking . I have been watching "Listen to Me, Girls. I Am Your Father!" It started out ok then it got sad right after the 1st ep lol. Waiting is good too on my weekly catch list.

Lets see . . . this is all stuff I've seen recently.
Baka and Test - Decent characters, good animation, story is all over the place, can't wait for the second season to get dubbed.

Ouran Host Club - The best shojo anything I've watched, I was compelled to keep watching despite the crap pacing.

Air Gear - Great idea for a show, drowns in anime cliches to the point of ruining what could have been perfect, HORRIBLE pacing. Should have been 2-3 seasons long. :/

Vandread - Don't bother.

Demon King Daimao - Decent idea, nothing in it is fully developed and the plot is VERY rushed. A ton of very out of place fan service.

It could be the stuff I'm finding lately or anime in general but I'm getting very tired of the awful pacing and pandering to lowest common denominator. While crap shows like Bleach, Naruto, and Inuyasha go on forever with nothing compelling to offer shows with great ideas or just high quality in general seem like they are rushed to fit into a half season or one season format. They also force fan service into things far too much.

in hindsight, i could see skipping the 1st. but to be honest if it werent for that episode, it would have been harder for me to keep interest in the series. this, however, does not excuse the fact that Heat is a badass lol

in other news, just finished samurai champloo and all i can say its the best ive watch so far. loved it, and RIP Nujabes

I just finished Death Note a few weeks ago. My roommate has netflix and I just sat there like a crack head and watched a shit ton of episodes in a row.

I also just watched the series X, I enjoyed it. I had seen X the Movie like 7 years ago and it was nice to have an explanation of the characters and plot.

If you guys haven't seen the two newest Evangelion movies you're seriously missing out. 'You can [not] Advance' and 'You are [not] Alone' are awesome. Apparently a new movie is coming out at either the end of this year or next year some time.

I enjoyed the hell out of Full Metal Alchemist (I've seen both series) and would love to hear some more suggestions for some occult-themed animes (I've noticed a lot of animes have religious and occult elements and I find it interesting to watch).

I didn't think much of it when I first saw it
very cliche anime (big guns) of it's era (gungrave that is)

liking Brave 10, Another and Moretsu Pirates of this season new shows
but there's still a few I haven't checked out

Naruto is great but too many damn fillers kill it... reason I stopped watching Bleach years ago

Im soo sad I caught up to all 533 episodes of OnePiece

but Gunslinger girl was fun

I loved Hajime No Ippo

Major the baseball one is pretty fun to watch and heart wrenching at the same time. i think there is like 6 seasons and a movie in Major.

im still trying to find that one anime Let's & Go! its about two brothers who race Slot cars they both have big ears. still in my memories could never find it again.

I wish they still made new Wangan Midnights though. sad to see it cut short.

I think I've seen all of Hellsing back some time ago. I really enjoyed what I saw of it, I think I should revisit it as I think its been almost 10 years, lol. I wonder if I can find my old DVDs. I made DVD covers in photoshop for a dude who ripped and sold anime back in 2003 and he would send me whatever I wanted as payment so I know I at least got a movie or something.

Gungrave was a really cool series!
Some of the later episodes are really far out (with the crazy 'Superior' transformations and what not) but it definitely is an action packed show.

There are a lot of sweet recommendations on here!

What's the consensus on Monster?

I like creepy horror stuff (Another is the first that comes to mind) and while things like Hellsing get suggested it's not really what I think of as "creepy" or "horror" (even though I do like the series)
