Nope, I think it's really just you. I was curious to see if I had the same problem after I posted-- so I removed my 15mm spacers and I had more than enough space with Fortune Auto coils. FA's are beefy coils too.

Not sure how you can remedy the problem. Frame/strut towers aren't straight? Not entirely sure. Go with what USDM said.

You'll have to pull it and relocate the harness. How much of a pull will depend on how much camber you're running. Less camber, more pull. Fronts will only pull so much before they get sketchy. I honestly like using a hammer and a rubber mallet to pull the front fenders. I usually use a blow torch to heat up the fender from underneat to make the metal more maliable.

Sup guys need some help trying to figure this out my setup.

I picked up some Advan wheels 18x9 +22 18x10 +25 225/35 235/40

I figured running 20mm spacers all around for my S14 to be properly stanced.

Any advice what to actually do?

Hi guys, I'm In austraila at the moment and iv found a nice set of wheels for sale back home they are 18x9.0jj -0 & 18x10.5jj-12 , they will be going on a s14a hopeing to use 30mm or 50mm over fenders without spacers, can any of you fellow lovley s chassis fans fill me in if ill need massive spacers to fill 50mm overfenders front and rear? Or what size spacers ill need? iv serched for ages on Google but am no the wiser, and need to deciede soon before the wheels sell,
I think iv worked out that from the hub to the edge of the rim its 115mm front and 142mm rear, if anyone knows what it roughly is from the hub of a s14 to its arch I can probably work it out, thanks

Hey guys,
Bout to buy new rims and tires for my s13 and have some questions for what size tires i should get.
Looking to get 17x9.75 in rear and 17x8.25 in front +25 offset all around.
My question are
1. what tire size's should i get?
2. Can i make this fit on coilovers and how much camber will i have/need
3. how much rolling and pulling needed, if any

Depends on how low you go. My tire just meets my fender and I'm running a 255/35 on a 18x10.5 +15 with just a roll and -1.6 camber.

-5 camber is an insane amount

I kinda have the same question....

Planning on running a 18x10.5 +15 in the rear, on an s13 though. 225/40 Falken 512's, which run slim, and about -4, to -4.2 camber.

How much of a pull am I gonna need? And does anyone have any pics?

It depends on how low you are and how much camber you want to run 17x9 +15 looks good on a stock body if you are lowish with a roll on an s13 also it would help if you said what car s13,s14,q45, maxima

Why dont you look around the wheel fitment thread? What your asking for is too generalized, everybody has their own preference. Do you want the stretched look, max tires, also, you do realize you can bow the rear fenders in and out so you're wheel clearance in the rear will change depending on that. Then you still have camber to consider...

One of my personal preference for all my S14s, i like running 18x10s with 225/40-18s. I dont like running aftermarket fenders, I'd rather pull the fenders as much as I can. When it starts warping, I'll slap some bondo on it to smooth it out.

Ok. Stretched, but not too much with fenders bowed out I guess. lol. I'm just trying to get some ideas. Is it better to run more negative offsets, or wider wheels, like 12s or something?

Was looking at a set of 18x9.5 +15 to run all around with 215/40 tires but could not find the sizing and offset I was looking for with the rim I wanted as everywhere was sold out but I have found a bunch of 18x9.5 +20 ones so if I got 5mm spacers on all 4 wheels would it pretty much be like running the +15 ones? Also how do you know if it's going to clear coilovers/z32 calipers?

Maybe a stupid question, but would the alignment change depending on the size and offset of a wheel? Meaning, if I got an alignment with 18x9.5 +15 and then put on 18x10 +0 or (-5) in offset would the alignment change?

I'm thinking not....thanks in advance.

Yes you are correct with your thinking...if you get 18x9.5 +20 and put 5mm spacers you will be at +15 offset. As for clearing Z32 calipers it would depend on the way the spokes of the wheel are designed. Best bet is to search around with car's that have Z32 brakes or you can just add spacers to clear the calipers.

think of the alignment like it's based from the face of the wheel. it's an "angle" measurement....not off any other calculations. How that fits in the fenders...well thats different. Offset determines position of mounting....which can raise or lower the face of the wheel...but not change the angle that it sits at.

All depend on what you're trying to do with the car.
Reasons you want camber: Clear fenders and less traction if you have under powered car.
Reason why you DONT want camber: Max traction, specially on high HP car.

Personally, the whole point of going overfenders is so you dont have to run camber or atleast less of it.

Offset has absolutely nothing to do with brake clearance calipers. How much offset you need to clear coilovers will depend on the coilover you have. Some sets are just fatter/thicker than others.

No, since the hub doesnt move, it doesnt change.
