Ka24de removal and reinstall
Hello I recently bought a s13
![]() ![]() The engine is blown and long story short im buying a running ka tommorow. I plan on pulling the blown one and rebuilding it eventually, but for the time being replace the blown with a running engine. The only information I'm looking for is a tutorial on how to pull and replace the ka24de. I've searched decently and have come up on only 1 guide Removal and re-install of KA24DE intake mani, emissions delete - TexasNissans.com this guide seems to have a emissions delete which isnt good for me Just wondering if anyone has a good guide they have stumbled upon As Google isnt helping me. Pictures are just for the hell of it. Thanks guys sorry if this is in the wrong section.. or if its just stupid, I just need some help and I want to learn. |

That car doesnt have emissions.. so its not a complete guide.. hes also doing a swap... for a different motor.. thus hes going to be removing stuff i might not have to........ like i already stated i did some searching myself.. i even posted a guide thats similar to the one im looking for.

very easy to do the best way is to pull it out with tranny at the sametime and if your putting and other s13 dohc in there just uninstall the harnesses and remember were they go and keep all your bolts in zipbags with lable to make it even easier! you just need basic tools and it shouldn't take that much! if you need any help just pm me ill help you out if you get lost

Yes its that simple. Just follow the guide its the same besides the emissions part youre looking for I guess. To get to the ECU just remove the kickpanel. The info for that is in that guide as well.

That guide on Nico is what helped me and I have an s14. There is upper harmed alt harness, a wire on the starter, alternator harness, trans harness, unbolted drive shaft, trans mounts, engine mounts. Installation is the opposite of removal. Its all there.

I second Edwins post. It's really cake. U can also utilize a camera to take pics of certain things like the emission components so when the new motor is in u know where certain things go. If this is ur first time I also suggest keeping all hardware together w the parts they came off of or separated and tagged so
U know where they go
