ok i just put a new turbo on my car and dont have a welder right now to weld the exhaust back up. Is it safe to run my car with no exhaust or will i blow up my car. My friend keeps saying ill blow it up but i was told you dont need and exhaust for a turboed car.

Why in this world would your car explode? All that is going to happen is A) it will be loud as fuhh to drive around and B) You will have the rice police after you for driving without an exhaust.

My friend David did this. He. Had just finished putting it together and defcided to take a spin around the block before putting on his exhaust. Decided to get on the highway for a couple more pulls and blew it up. He died after a few days in intensive care.

I don't mean the entire car I just mean the engine. He sed that I'd heat the valves and blow up the motor and it is driving me crazy not driving my 240 because I havnt driven it few months

Actually, I've been told it won't blow up if you add a gallon of water into your engine crankcase. Helps cool down the valves from spontaneously exploding. My friend did it when he was running tri-T67 turbos on his SR20DETTT with no exhaust.
