not sure exactly what it is but sure doesn't sound good. i wouldn't do that too often until you find the source of that noise. i would pull the valve cover and look at your head and check all the rocker arms.

yeah, i took the valve cover off and looked, the only source of something going wrong is two rocker arms/cam lobes that appear to look scorched cuz of being so hot? do you think that would make the noise?.. but what would cause just two of the rockers to be like that?

scoring is probably from lack of oil from a bad oil pump

youtube spun rod bearings for Sr's and see if it matches your sound.

Usually with SRB they are barely audioable at idle, when reved knocking get louder and faster in the higher RPMs

i've youtubed a few videos of spun bearings already, i think there was maybe one car that sounded close to mine.. but even that car had a noticeable ''knocking'' which i dont think my car has.. unless i just got really lucky and im catching it before it even really starts to knock?

Sounds likes it not running on all 4 cylinders , more like 3 or something , video wasnt the greatest , like android shit or something J.king.

Edit: Is it stock, upgrades , ran fine before what? , just put it in?
Also create a youtube.com acount and upload then paste a link here to possibly get some better
vids.

the motor is stock, i just finished the swap maybe a few weeks ago, been working on getting the finishing bugs out of it.. and putting it all back together, ive literally drove the car for maybe a few hours at max of driving.. and it started making this sound one day when i was checking over the car before leaving work.. it ran fine for a day or two before i caught this. it does need some tune up things, which i was getting to this week before this noise appeared. its my shitty iphone quality

Man this could be as simple as spark plugs , dont know cause of history to pin point one thing, also if you havent already pull some codes to start the process of elimination.
Second , I would do a compression test (which you might have done before you ran it ) and see what you get now. And in the process throw some new spark plugs in it if you havent already.

Edit: Im packing Iphone 3gs and you will get alot better quality with youtube.
Is a video of the storm / rusthole / ecu enema , that took out my ecu.

Send a message via AIM to OutToWinPAHC
Use a wooden dowel aka a stick and put it on the motor in different spots and listen at the other end right against your ear. You will be able to pin point top end bottom end and cylinder area with ease.

Yeah after watching you youtube video , the ticking is just the injectors , the other sound could be a waterpump bearing going out , still working but on the verge of taking a shit, Also what have you done to the engine besides dropping it in?

Edit: A Stethoscope is fairly cheap and very uselfull , or wood dowel / Screwdriver metal end to engine plastic to ear to pin-point what area the sound is.

i havent done anything to the motor, besides the drop in, its bone stock.. only upgrades are 3" dp, walbro 255, and 3'' exhaust.. motorwise its stock.. but the waterpump is brand new, has maybe 10 miles on it, so i doubt that would be the issue? and i have tried the screwdriver/dowel trick, but i still cant pin point exactly where its coming from.. :S

oh and im going to get some new plugs, asap. but the compression read good numbers across the board, i did one of those the first day i got it up and firing. appreciate all the help guys.
