Wheel fitment advice.

Hey, I've got a Zenki S14, and I'm starting my spring upgrades in a few weeks. I'm just curious if anybody knows if 17x9 Volk LE37T +22 rims will fit on an S14 w/ a Z32 brake setup. I've done the search about 5 times, and haven't found the information, so I'm hoping someone might be able to help me. I have already tried e-mail Volk, but they don't seem interested in helping. Also, what brake setups are comparable to the Brembo Gran Turismo kit that DON'T cost 3 large? Thanks a lot for the help. ::dons flame retardant suit just in case::

brake clearance depends on spoke design. the te37 spokes should clear. it says on rays website that it clears z32 brakes. if you're going with thee brembo gt big brake kit, im not reaelly sure on that. those brakes are huge. a comparable kit would be rotoras big brakee kit. its about 1700-1800 msrp iirc. those are huge too and like the brembo gt and other big brake kits you'll need at least 17inch wheels.

ANother Idea for your brakes would be look up big brake kits for the Z32. If it clears the stock Z32 rims, then your set up should clear it with no issues. Ive heard of Z32 guys upgrading brakes by getting GTO *3000GT* brakes...not sure how accurate it is tho so dont quote me on that.

I wouldn't go with the 3000GT brake upgrade though, the rotor is more offset than the stock Z32 is, so to compensate the adapter bracket pushes the caliper 15mm further out, which means if your wheels barely clear Z brakes, you'll need some spacers.

I want this kit badly... I don't need it, but I want it. It uses custom Skyline rotors IIRC.
Some Z guys have also adapted Mustang Cobra rotors (13") with a custom bracket and metal hubcentric rings (the hub bore on the rotors is bigger than the 240's bore, hence metal rings to make it fit snug on the hub).

Good luck with the S13.

On a side note, I've got some new info about that Skyline/350z rotor upgrade that I linked. Apparently all the outer mounting ears for the front calipers were the same for the S13/14/Z32/etc, but the inner mounting ear position is different for each chassis, so for rotor upgrades with brackets that mount on the inside, like those Skyline brakes, the brackets do not line up with the rotor. So if you want to use the Skyline/350z rotors you'll need to make your own bracket for it to work.
