bad blow off valve

I noticed I was getting bad compressor surge from the intake,i looked at my hks bov there was plastic stuck inside the valve???? Is there a diaphragm for the bov by the way ,if I did blow up the bov its my fault because I removed the vacuum hose from the nipple of the hot pipe and boosted near 25 psi ouch, I removed the plastic by disembling the bov I put it back together with the exception of the cover and the little missle looking thing and the bov works it just dosent make and noise like it used to it now sounds like my stock sTI bov or a tial ok zilvians let me know what you think thanks

Dam really still works but its probably blown why else would plastic be in there rite

No shit if you take the "missile thing" out it wont make the same noise. HKS makes two different "missile things" for that. High and low frequency sound. I took my knock off apart out of the box. If the plastic thing is that dome that sits right behind the "missile thing" you dont need it. You wouldn't have that problem with a tial and if it's a legit hks you should contact them about this.
