Setting cas timing
I recently got my car running again and want to get the timing etc bang on, I fitted the cas as per the fsm but obviously you can advance or retard the timing.
How do i know if I need to advance or retard the timing? The car is a Jdm s14 sr20det, now has a 1.3mm metal hg, straight through 3.5" exhaust, tubular mani, ss elbow, fmic, apexi profec e-01, if any of these things are a factor. Also what boost am I safe running? Any help much appreciated, Thanks in advance |

crank it all the way to the right.
run 54 pounds of boost. (or perhaps you should do some research and consult a legit tuner, since you clearly don't know enough about the subject to be doing your own tuning. taking the advice of complete strangers from the internet is risky at BEST) |

It's called a timing light, you use it to line up the timing marks on the crank once you've stabbed the CAS. You're safe at no more than 10psi.
