installing gt28rs, help with wastegate lines

here is a picture of the the stock turbo and wastegate next to the gt28 (not a disco potato)




so my understanding is i need to tap a hole somewhere to run another line to the wastegate? or is it not necessary?

im not sure please help thanks!

It's optimal to tap into the compressor housing but not a necessity. You can get your boost source from a nipple on the hot/cold pipe, vac lines, etc.
