![]() well.. i had an accident in my 92 240. i wish i had been smart enough to turn into the curb so atleast my suspension woulda bottomed out and bent my rim, not snapped my control arm, bent my tie rod and axle, wasted my rim and tire, and left a big dent right behind my tire, by the passenger. looks like unerneath the car, those are the only parts damaged. oh yea.. and i cant get my lug nuts off the wheel. i was wondering how much im going to spend trying to fix the damage? i have a 300z setup all the way around riding S14 spindles.
1)front right axle is bent 2)FR tie rod- tension rod? 3)hub and spindle? 4)my strut tower cap popped off, so im assuming theres some strut damage 5)crack in sidewall by tire.. should i get it fixed or what? whats my next step? all of a sudden, i dont care about getting good gas mileage.. id rather my car just drive. ~Sunrise |

It's a front tie-rod and end, not an axle
![]() Also, I would suggest not repairing a cracked wheel, assuming you can even find a shop that will repair it. A cracked wheel will never be structurally solid again, just buy a new one. ~matt

well.. i bent both the front tie-rod and end, not an axle, lol.. theres a big ass dent in my sidewall where my wheel rammed into. fixxing the rod and axle cant be that hard, and replacing my rim is fine, i have a 300z one on there. i just found out that what the front control arm attaches onto, braces the 2 pieces of the unibody chassis, and the engine mounts. im so fukked

i just replaced that whole side twice. the spindles and hubs were fine but i changed them anyway (got a whole setup dropped from the j-yard) um, i dont recommend heating and bending back.
i also needed a new rack. as for the labor. i did it all in two days with a jack and two stands. tools: craftsman kit with 50 pcs. not too bad. |
