so my estimate for the hood repair is 150, and theres a small crease right by the headlight that i dont think is gonna be able to come out. where did you guys get your VIS oem hoods from? i checked ebay and most of those were 350 plus 150 for shipping. im gettin some money for the damage, but i dont think anything over 250. i wouldnt mind pay a little extra, just wondering what to expect.
nice link to those pins, im gonna have to get something like that.

Hood pins are like seat belts, I feel safer having them. (I have a CF hood BTW)

Those of you with hood pins:
what's the best style/model to get for strength reliability, I couldn't care less what they look like, I want safety! I was looking at these, since they add some sense of security... opinions?

Yoshi - I had a similar style on my old fiberimages hood. i would NOT recommend them. mine refused to stay locked. one of them came unlocked on my way home from work christmas eve going 80mph down the highway. I hit the brakes and started to pull over but it was too late the stress on the other pin causesd the arms of the lock (the part that twists into the post to lock it down) to break sending my hood up at 50mph. my windsheild survived luckily I think the wind deflector for my sunroof took the brunt of the damage. and the hood (which was trash anyway, but I was its second owner) seperated
