So yes! Ironically, a lot of my interior pieces go to Australia. Besides the United States, it's easily the most popular country I ship to.

No, he didn't have anything that I would want or need. Our tastes are quite different.

Luke's s14

Got a question, hope you have an answer. I'm the guy that bought your buddy Lukes red s14. Im finishing up an LS1 swap on the car and I'm having trouble with one last thing. The speedometer. If you recall, the car origianaly used the VSS from the rear diff since its an s15 unit which runs through a Dakota digital box. I'm just trying to hook it all back up the way it was before I took it out but can't remember exactly how it was wired. Honestly I can't even remember why I took it out in the first place. I re-did a lot of wiring associated with the F3 conector so i think that's why I did. Anyhow, I have the power, ground, and VSS wires hooked up correctly I believe. One wire I'm unsure of is the sensor ground for the VSS. I just twisted it together with the main ground. I'm getting a signal to the box cause the green light is blinking when driving. This is where things are really confusing me. I took the yellow/green VSS signal wire from the F3 conector and tried it in all of the signal out ports on the box and I get nothing from the speedo. Is there some kind of ground for the speedo? Ive researched and researched and can't figure out what's wrong. I ask you cause I figured you may know if there were any changes made to the speedo wiring. Or maybe I'm just not wiring it correctly. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I read you purchase the carpet in your car from Stockinteriors.com
My question is; did you get Plush Cut Pile or Ultra-Plush Cut Pile?
Also, how much cutting did you have to do in order to make it fit?
And how strongly would you recommend it to another 240sx owner?

[QUOTE=Broadfield;4873458]I replaced the bulbs with LED's. These are kind of blurry pictures I took a long time ago when I didn't know how to take a picture, but it will show you how I did it. These pics are actually from a customer's car that I did, but I did the same thing on mine.

hey Toby,

are these bulbs 3mm or 5mm and how many total is there to replace on the DCC?

Unfortunately I don't remember... that was several years ago. I would have to go back and research it... which I assume is what you have already done!?!

If you are expecting a drop in carpet, it is not. You need to cut it to size and cut out all of the holes for seat bolts, shifter area, center console etc. So there is some work involved.

They are 3mm. I don't remember how many... just count the number of bulbs that are on there.

This is the exact same issue I have run into on my s14. Where can I locate all the fittings mentioned, is all your terminology used cross referenceable? Also can that flare tool be rented?

Since I purchased a brand new crate motor LS3, I bought the one with the GM Hot Cam. It bumps the 430hp LS3 up to 480hp. It was only another $230, comes installed and still with a full 3 year warranty... so it was a no brainer for me. On top of that the Hot Cam GM ECU already comes tuned for that cam. I went this route for now, then I can do a different cam setup down the road when I do the Harrop ITB setup or just want to try out a different cam. But I have not done any aftermarket cam research yet.

Toby, do you happen to have an idea or wiring diagram I can use to turn my kouki S14 corner light to blink also and be a turn signal at the same time? I'm thinking of eliminating the JDM turnsignals all together below the bumper. I was hoping there's a way without having to use relays at each corner.

I tried that, and got sick of looking for a way, so I just dremeled out the holes to be bigger and shoved my turn signals in there and taped them up. I think I may have a solution though. 1157 sockets. Theoretically it'll work.

But if there is another "proper" way to do it, I'd like to know as well.

20 gauge would suffice for pretty much all of it. Obviously use larger gauge if you are extending a larger gauge wire.

I do not... I have never done anything with that. I don't really use diagrams anyway... I just wire stuff on the fly.

If you are just running head unit power, then the OEM speaker wire is fine. If you are running an amplifier to your mid/highs then you will want to upgrade to a 16 gauge speaker wire.

No, the CDE-102 was discontinued long ago. The CDE-121 is it's replacement... and even the 121 will be replaced by late winter early spring. So the CDE-102 is almost 2 model years old.

You will need to glue it really well, sand down any extra glue that squeezed out the front and then re-texture the whole thing. Feel free to post a pic of the damage so I can make sure my recommendation is the best solution. After you post a pic then I'll recommend the best glue and process for the job.

Or I'm pretty sure I have a mint HUD trim that I could sell you.

Have you ever done a S13 Center console with 3 52mm gauges and a single din radio in a close to factory sized opening? do you believe it would/could fit?

Gauges in question are the AEM digitals.
