![]() well, i took off my wheel that has caused me the thumping problems. it feels as if my rim is bent or something was rubbing. sure enough, i jacked up the front and took off the wheel. i grabbed the studs and hand-spun the hub and at one point in revolution the rotor slows down when contacting the brake pad and gets very hard to turn. therefore, i think this is causing the "thumping" when driving.
how would i go about fixing this? would i replace the: -rotor -brake pad -or both(?) please help!! this rubbing is annoying!! ![]() |

dunno if you might have overlooked this, but when you take off the wheel there is nothing holding the rotor on and its normal for it to move around. if this isn't the case than your rotor is warped, depending on the condition it might be resurfaceable. if you purchase new rotors it is advisable to pair them with new pads as well.
