S14 sr20det BT Blown turbo/swap
I did an 98 blacktop sr20det motor swap...I was so happy to get my car running again I didn't check the turbo...well after a few days of driving I noticed a had some oil in my intercooler.
Did my research and it looks like its blown and not worth rebuilding. So I'm getting ready to replace the turbo. I'm going to find something close to factory so all the fitting will match up and no need for new manifold or down pipe....sence I'm going to replace the turbo is there anything else I should replace right now just for daily use? Do I need to? Example. New turbo lines, oil line fitting or drain kit... Please remember I just want this as my DD so I'm not looking to build the hell out of it, I'm shooting for reliable. Thank you If u need any more info please let me know |

If I where in your shoes I would buy 7 layer exhaust manifold gasket, all new OEM turbo gaskets. Steel braided oil, and water lines.
S15 BB turbo. Finished! That would be pretty DAMM reliable! |

well the lines dont do much for reliability, they just make install and removal a hell of alot easier...
