Earls Swivel-Seal Hose Ends

I am setting up a remote oil filter and cooler on my 180 and already have a bunch of parts that should do the job.

The only concern / question I have is

I have Earls Swivel-Seal Hose Ends to use for the connections, I also have a bunch of new 400PSI High Pressure Oil Hose but its not braided... on the Earle's site they say the Hose Ends are to be used with braided hose.

Has anyone used them with non-braided hose? I put one of the end on the hose and it appears to be a very solid and nice fit... I'm thinking I should just buy some Earls Braided hose and be done with it!

feedback and experience would be appreciated.

+ 1 on the braided hose. it shouldn't be any different from the other stuff you have but, better to be safe than having to clean up oil all over your engine.

I prefer the braided line. The antiwear sheathing is a good piece of mind.
